ECES  Goal

To provide leadership in developing, implementing, and coordinating the Program governance.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES- 2-Month Goal Plans

The ECES will conduct a needs assessment of the program with the program director identifying strengths and areas of weakness and processes. In addition, the ECES will help teachers identify goals and how to apply best practices within the classroom.  Further, the ECES will conduct informal and formal professional development training per length of the contract. The Coach is responsible for training and developing the capacity of program teachers to become innovative to serve as catalysts in understanding and using strategies for creating an engaging learning environment for scholars.

Performance Responsibilities-

1. Accountable to program curriculum planning and implementation.

2. Guides development, implementation, and evaluation of teachers utilizing curriculum with fidelity and instructional services.

3. Keeps abreast of appropriate developmental education in EC  curriculum and instruction and furnishes leadership in determining their appropriateness for inclusion in the program's educational program.

4. Guides development, implementation, and evaluation of training plans for professional personnel. ( IPD) Individualized  Professional Development 

6. Works with the Director in the improvement of individual staff competencies.

7. Works with Teachers in coordinating developmentally appropriate instruction goals in order to effect horizontal and vertical continuity and articulation of the instructional program throughout the Center. 

9. Provides Supplemental Resources 

11. Provides staff leadership to ensure understanding of the program's intentions concerning IPD.

12. Evaluates and review the performance of all instructional personnel via teacher/ Director/ stakeholders feedback.

13. Observe Teachers in their classrooms; via phone conference or Zoom PM classes only. And offers insight into the enhancement of the teaching-learning situation.

14.. Studies and evaluates, and, as appropriate, recommends adoption of new instructional material, methods, and Supplemental programs. Starfall etc.

17. Assumes a leadership role in enhancing curriculum for domains as specified per contract.

18. Serves as PDS  for assigned staff.

Plans 

Quality Improvement Plan (QIP)

  • Begin creating Action Items for the QIP to help earn, maintain, and improve the program’s Star rating.

    • The QIP is available in the Case Overview as soon as the Organization Profile is created, allowing Action Items to be created at any time.

    • Programs that create Action Items related to professional development or staff qualifications, which are monitored by a Quality Improvement Consultant or someone with a Master’s degree, can earn credit on the Self-Assessment Survey.    

  • The QIP within Great Start to Quality STARS allows the program to select the indicators it would like to work on

    • You can identify goals, strategies, and action steps to help in your quality improvement efforts.

  • Great Start to Quality is Introducing a Focused Quality Improvement Process

Levels of Quality

​

There will no longer be Star ratings but instead four Levels of Quality:

Maintaining Health and Safety
Maintains a licensing status of Original, Regular, or 1st Provisional

Reflecting on Quality
Conducts a Self-Reflection of the Quality Indicators

Enhancing Quality
Creates one goal in the Quality Improvement Plan and assigns a due date
May choose to receive free coaching from a Great Start to Quality Resource Center or specific program coaching

Demonstrating Quality
Completes goal(s)
Meets threshold scores for all ages served through On-Site Observation

Consultant Plans and Services

*Each Plan is Structured focusing on one goal per  2-month timeline

  • *Package One /6 months  ____ 4 meeting check-ins the first month once every week via conference call, or remote depending on both parties' schedules. The second through the six-month contractual period will consist of one check-in every 2 weeks. Totaling 14 meetings total. If the client cancels a meeting this counts as a meeting out of  14. Price $2,400 not including a $250 non-refundable intake fee due at initial contract signing. The consultant will meet the client again in person once per 6-month contract only. 

  • *Package Two/ 4 months   ___ 4 meeting check-ins the first month once every week via conference call, or remote depending on both parties' schedules. The second through the fourth-month contractual period will consist of one check-in every 2 weeks. 10 meetings total. If the client cancels a meeting this counts as a meeting out of 10. Price  $1,600 not including a $250 non-refundable intake fee due at initial contract signing.

  • *Package Three / 2 months____ 4 meeting check-ins the first month once every week via conference call, or remote depending on both parties' schedules. The second-month contractual period will consist of one check-in every 2 weeks. 6 meetings total. If the client cancels a meeting this counts as a meeting out of 6 Price $1,200  not including an $800 non-refundable intake fee due at initial contract signing.
